The Belgo Building is located just west of Montreal’s Museum of Contemporary Art. Kitty corner to the Belgo sits the neo-gothic St. James United church that underwent a huge restoration project, completed in 2006, which now attracts thousands of visitors. Since the restoration of the church the surrounding neighbourhood is slowly being revitalized with investments from developers and the City of Montreal, alike.

This project explores the Belgo’s past, present and future with a particular focus on the longevity of the Belgo as a hub of contemporary art in Montreal.
